# BeadApp Terms of Use **Effective October 2, 2026 ยท version 1.3** These Terms govern the BeadApp service operated by **Korfi LLC** ("BeadApp," "we," "us"). By signing in, saving a cloud project, or publishing to the marketplace, you agree to them. You may use local, signed-out features without agreeing to these Terms. --- ## 1. Your designs remain yours The patterns, designs, images, text, and other content you create or upload are called "Creator Content." You retain ownership of your original Creator Content and any other rights you already hold in it. You may use, modify, publish, license, give away, and sell your original Creator Content through BeadApp or anywhere else, including commercially, subject to any underlying third-party rights. We do not claim ownership of Creator Content. We do not use Creator Content, whether private or published, to train artificial-intelligence models, and these Terms do not grant us permission to do so. You promise that you have the rights needed to upload or submit Creator Content and that it does not violate another person's rights. Uploading someone else's content does not give you ownership or expand your permission to use it. ## 2. Limited service license You give BeadApp a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, copy, back up, process, and display Creator Content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service you selected. This service license does not authorize artificial-intelligence model training or standalone resale of your designs. Private projects are not marketing material. BeadApp may not use a private project in advertising, a social post, or a promotion without your separate permission. ## 3. Published marketplace listings When you intentionally publish Creator Content to the BeadApp marketplace, you give BeadApp a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote that listing through the marketplace and BeadApp marketing while it is published. This does not transfer ownership and does not give BeadApp a right to sell the pattern outside the marketplace, manufacture it, or license it to someone else as a standalone pattern. Marketplace pricing, discounts, checkout incentives, and creator fees are governed by the marketplace terms shown before a creator publishes a listing. BeadApp will not charge a creator a fee for a copy provided free as an incentive or upsell, and fees tied to a listing will not create a negative creator balance. A paid discount uses the same disclosed creator-fee rate as a non-discounted sale, subject to the price floor shown before publication. ## 4. Official design calls and marketing use An entry to an official BeadApp Design Call is governed by the [Creator Design Call Rules](creator-design-call-rules.html) and the campaign notice. By entering, a creator grants the separate marketing license described there. That license permits BeadApp to feature an entry in its own marketing, but does not transfer ownership or permit standalone pattern resale. Every public marketing image that features a Design Call entry must visibly embed the creator's supplied name or approved creator handle in the image itself; a caption alone is not sufficient. ## 5. Design Assistant and Realistic Preview BeadApp does not claim ownership of your original designs or outputs generated for you merely because you used the Design Assistant or Realistic Preview. As between you and Korfi, Korfi assigns to you any transferable rights it holds in outputs generated for you by those features. You may use, modify, publish, license, give away, and sell those outputs, including commercially, subject to underlying third-party rights and any third-party provider terms disclosed in the relevant feature. This does not transfer ownership of BeadApp-provided patterns, templates, or another designer's work used as an input. Generated output may not be unique and may not qualify for exclusive intellectual-property protection. You are responsible for reviewing output for third-party rights before publishing or selling it. ## 6. Acceptable use Do not upload or share content that infringes another person's intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights; breaks the law; contains malware; or interferes with the service. Do not falsely claim authorship of BeadApp-provided designs or another person's content. Do not copy, sell, license, or redistribute those designs or content unless the applicable license or rights holder permits it. Access to a design through BeadApp is not permission to resell it. Editing or recoloring someone else's design does not remove the original rights holder's rights. We may remove content or limit access when we reasonably believe it violates these Terms. ## 7. Disclaimers and liability The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent allowed by law, Korfi LLC's total liability arising from the service or these Terms is limited to the fees you paid to Korfi LLC in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. ## 8. Termination and removal You may stop using BeadApp at any time. You may unpublish a marketplace listing; after unpublishing, BeadApp will stop new marketplace promotion within a reasonable operational period, but may retain previously published marketing materials and records. Sections needed to enforce these Terms, including this section, survive termination. ## 9. Changes to these Terms For a material change, we will update the effective date and version and provide notice. If a change requires new permission from you, we will obtain that permission before applying it. A future change permitting artificial-intelligence model training will not authorize training on previously submitted Creator Content without your separate, affirmative agreement to that use. ## 10. Governing law and contact Maryland law governs these Terms, without regard to conflicts-of-law rules.
